Let’s make Christmas the most joyful and Christ filled this year. Making Jesus the focal point more than Santa or gifts. Don’t we all love to give gifts and the biggest gift we can give is our time and the sharing of Jesus.
His Name shall be called Jesus.

The Angel Gabriel spoke to Mary and told her that she has been chosen to be the one who will carry the Son of God. The Angel Gabriel told Mary that she will give birth to the savior and he would save their people from their sins. Mary and her husband-to be Joseph lived in a town called Nazareth. During this time there was a census, and they had to go to Bethlehem. A census is where a town counts it’s people.
When they reached Bethlehem there was no place to stay as all the inns were full and they found a stable where they spend the night. A stable is a place where animals where kept. That night Jesus was born. There was no crib so they laid baby Jesus in a manger, a feeding trough for animals. The manger has fresh hay in it and made a nice bed for the baby.
That night shepherds who was watching over their flocks of sheep saw an Angel who told them that the Saviour was born. They were so excited and went to Bethlehem were they found Jesus in the manger. After they saw Jesus they told everyone who they saw that Jesus was born.
Sometime later three wise men saw a star in the sky and they started following the star. When they travelled through Judea King Herod called them and asked them to tell him about Jesus. This is how King Herod was told about Jesus. Afterwards they continued following the star until the star stopped above the stable and they bowed when they saw Jesus. They brought Jesus gifts of gold, expensive perfume and some of the finest things.
That night when everyone was sleeping one of the wise men had a dream and they heard not to go back to the King. King Herod was not very happy that Jesus was born as he could not understand that Jesus was born to be king of God’s spiritual kingdom and not King of Judea.
In Bethlehem Joseph had a dream and in this dream he was told to flee to Egypt and that is how Joseph, Mary and Jesus went to live in Egypt to be safe from King Herod. Joseph, Mary and Jesus stayed in Egypt until Herod died and then they moved back to Nazareth
