Worship is you opening yourself up to God, wherever you are. Giving Him all that you are, and honoring Him for who He is. Worship is you drawing into an intimate relationship with Him. Through worshiping you express your love for God.
Why do you worship?
Think about this ….You worship because God is worthy, he deserves your praise and aligns your heart with God’s heart, to become more open to what God is saying.
Worshipping is not only to be done in song, there is various ways in how we can worship God. Doing it in song is one way in how we can do it together.
Psalm 145:1 says …. “I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.“
Here are ways in how you can worship God
Through your every day choices you can ask yourself does my choice reflect the character of God?
Ask yourself when was the last time I was motivated by my faith, and not my own desire to do something?
Am I choosing to follow God’s will in my life?
As a side note, we are not always OK, and choosing to worship God means we have to be able to admit to Him our innermost secrete and be able to confide in Him during our lowest moments.
During prayers you can make requests to God, you can thank Him for all that he has done for you.
Seek and listen to God’s will. The only way you can is to read His Word, and pray. There will be times when you would feel lost, but trusting and faithful to the God who moves mountains. He is totally worth the investment of your life.
Take personal time. It is important to make time with God on a regular basis. You want a life that is lovingly intimate with the God that created you. Show God your love and gratitude by giving Him yourself, without any outside pressures or distractions.
Be with your impact community. To worship does not have to be a solitary activity. The Word describes Heaven as a place where you worship together as a church body. This can be through music, bible study, community service, or by supporting one another.
John 4 : 24 “God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth”
